Well, well, well, look at who’s blogging in English now👀 Thought Alice Springs would be the perfect occasion for this, so let’s go :))
Alice Springs was sooooo niiiiceee 10/10 would recommend!! Our flight, went with Susy – my british roomie, from Melbourne to Brisbane departed at 6.10 the morning after our Res Ball… yeah we didn’t get much sleep haha. I literally took a nap at the gate for like 50 minutes, never thought I would be the type of person to do that. It was such a good nap tho hahah. Anyway, we stayed at a backpacker hostel and it was actually pretty nice, and a really good atmosphere.
We went on an all-day trip to Uluru on Wednesday, and it was so cool and so surreal. We first walked around at Kata Tjuta and then went to Uluru after that. It was really interesting to hear all the stories and myths about the area, and how you could actually see ‘the snake’ and ‘scars’ from where the spear hit etc. We stayed for the sunset and saw how it changed colour. It was pretty cool :)))) Although there were a looooot of people hahaha.
We booked an all-day trip to West MacDonnell for Thursday, but it got cancelled last minute, so we ended up booking a half-day trip instead. It was still pretty good though, but the other trip probably would’ve been better. We saw Simpsons Gap, but no wallabies :// We drove to Standley Chasm after that, which I actually liked better. It was soooooo gorgeous, the red rusty colour from the sandstones combined with the green/blue background was so beautiful and totally surreal to look at. We spent the rest of the day relaxing by the pool hehe :))
We went home on Friday and the short trip of three nights was actually perfect, not too short or too long, as there isn’t much to see in the actual city. Thanks for reading!!
